Pot Vault Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Pot Vault ("we", "our", "the app") collects, uses, and protects the information of people who use the app or the website at potvaultpoker.com.
Information we collect
When you sign up for a Pot Vault account, we collect:
- Your email address, which we use to identify your account and send verification and password reset links
- A username of your choosing, which is shown to other players in sessions you join
When you use the app, we store:
- Sessions you host or join, including player names you enter, buy-in amounts, rebuys, cash-outs, and settlement calculations
- Timestamps of session activity, so the ledger can display when events occurred
We do not collect:
- Your location
- Your contacts, photos, or files
- Payment or banking information (Pot Vault never processes real money; all cash exchanges happen between players outside the app)
- Health data
- Advertising identifiers
- Analytics about how you use the app
How we use your information
We use the information you provide only to:
- Let you sign in to your account
- Show your session history and let you rejoin active sessions
- Share the necessary session data (player names, buy-ins, results) with other players you invite to a session
- Send you emails required for account operation, such as email verification and password reset
We never sell or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored using Supabase, a secure database hosting provider. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Supabase's data protection practices are described at supabase.com/privacy.
Who can see your data
Other players in a session you host or join can see the session data you enter (player names, buy-ins, cash-outs). This is the entire point of the app. Nobody outside a session can see its contents.
Your email address is never shown to other users.
Deleting your account
To delete your account and all associated data, email us at the address below with the subject line "Delete my account". We will delete your account and all associated session data within 14 days.
Children's privacy
Pot Vault is intended for adults (17+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the new policy.
